Q&A about Your WFCU Visa® Credit Card
Will my credit be impacted by opting in or out of receiving an AEFCU Credit Card?
If you opt-out of receiving an AEFCU Credit Card, your credit may be impacted from the closing of your WFCU account. However, if you opt-in to receive an AEFCU card, your credit history and original open date from your WFCU account will transfer to the new card. AEFCU will NOT pull your credit for the purposes of this transfer only. If you apply for a credit line increase or any other type of credit card, a credit assessment will be required. Please refer to the credit card agreement and disclosure for additional information pertaining to your credit score.
Will my Annual Percentage Rate (APR) be changing?
Existing balances — at the time of conversion — will be protected at your current WFCU account rate. If you opt-in to AEFCU’s terms and conditions to obtain a Visa® Platinum Rewards card, your APR on new purchases, cash advances, and balance transfers will be a variable rate, currently at 15.90%.
Will my Visa® Account Number change?
Yes, your Visa account number will change.
If you opted out of receiving an AEFCU card, you should make payments to the new account number to pay the remaining balance.
If you opted in to receive an AEFCU card, you should have your new card by November 9, 2024. You may activate and begin using your AEFCU card on November 10, 2024. Once you receive your new AEFCU Visa® Platinum Rewards card, please be sure to update any recurring transactions (gym memberships, Internet service providers, satellite radio, etc.) or payments you have set up for your current WFCU account.
Will I have access to a credit card during the transition?
If you opted in to receive an AEFCU card, yes. The transition will take place the morning of November 10, 2024. You may use your WFCU card up until this time, then immediately begin using your AEFCU card.
What should I do with my WFCU Visa® Credit Card?
You may continue to use your WFCU Visa® card through November 9, 2024. After this date, you should cut up and discard your WFCU Visa® card. Your WFCU card will be canceled on November 10, 2024.
Will I get to keep my WFCU ScoreCard rewards points? If you do not opt-in for an AEFCU card, you will need to use your points prior to November 1, 2024; otherwise, they will be forfeited. If you opt-in to receive an AEFCU card, your points will be transferred to your new account.
Will my payment due date be changing?

Yes, your payment address will change. Beginning with the statement you receive in November, the payment address will be: American Eagle Financial Credit Union, PO Box 104, Brattleboro, VT 05302-0104.
If I don’t make my payment by the due date, will my payment be made automatically from my Checking or Savings account?
